Show LOGAN HOST TO KIWANIANS OF UTAH-IDAHO LOGAN. Aug. 20 Believing that district conventions should provide detailed education in Kiwanis methods, meth-ods, policies and objectives, District Governor J. B. Gowen, of Caldwell, Idaho, announces that during the convention of the Utah-Idaho district dis-trict of Kiwanis International, to be held in Logan Friday and Saturday, Sat-urday, August 27 and 28, emphasis will be placed on the four general conferences to convene Friday afternoon. af-ternoon. At each of these conferences, confer-ences, says the governor, a list of practical subjects will be presented for open discussion. There will be a president's conference, con-ference, with Lieutenant-Governor George B. Crabtree of Idaho Falls, presiding; a secretaries' conference, with Jean Bistline of Pocatello, Idaho, Ida-ho, presiding ; a trustees' conference with Governor J. B. Gowan in the chair ; and a members' conference, with W. H. Reeder, Jiy, of Ogden. Utah, presiding. The emphasis to be placed on business and educational affairs pertaining directly to Kiwanis, the governor says further, must not be taken to mean that the convention program will be lacking in entertainment enter-tainment features. On the contrary, he says, this convention will be characterized by some of the finest entertainment to be found in the west. The special musical program for Friday evening, for exaniphy will surpass anything of its kind ever before offered Kiwanians of ' the Utah-Idaho district, he declares. It will be under the direction of Gay-lord Gay-lord Sanford of Pocatello, chairman of the district committee on music, who offers the assurance that some of the best musical talent in the two states will participate. A special invitation to attend this musical is being extended by card to many Logan Lo-gan citizens. The entertainment features at the various general and departmental sessions will be under the direcUo of Alfred M. Durham of Logan, chairman of Kiwanis International committee on music. It is announced also that the Salt Lake club will bring its Aerial Chorus; the Ogden club, its Glee club; Springville, its widely-known chorus; and Logan its famous American Legion Fife and Drum corps. There are 24 clubs in the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho district, 11 in Idaba. and 13 in Utah. Listed alphabetically by states they are : Idaho Blackfoot, Boise, Caldwell, Filer, Idaho Falls, Nampa, Payette, Pocatello. St. Anthony, An-thony, Twin Falls, and Weisr. Utah Bingham Canyon Brigham City, Eureka, Logan, Nephi, Park Cltjt. Price, Provo, Salt Lake City, Smithfield, Spanish Fork arid Springville. Reports on file with Executive Secretary Alfred M.
