Show NEW EVIDENCE FOUND IN MILLER CASE Grand Jury's Probe of Alien Property Custodian's Work Reveals Information NEW YOltK, Feb., 4. (IIP) Belief that new evidence has been unearthed hy the special federal grand Jury .investigating the melli-oils melli-oils of former Allen Property Custodian Cus-todian Thomas W. Miller, which may lead to n new and startling revelation, was current here today. The latest developments In this second Investigation into the return of $7,000,000 in securities of the American -Metals eoniorntion in 1-1 and which gave rise to this belief, are: 1 A report that, former Attorney General Harry Dnuglierty has given the information which be has hitherto hith-erto refused in his previous testimony testi-mony liefore Investigating committees commit-tees in Washington. 1 .Mai S. Dnuglierty, brother of the former attorney general and Washington Court House, Ohio, hanker, has apiieared eight separate times before the Jury and has been closeted usually two or three times. 3 The strict secrecy surround the entire investigation. 4 The probable appearance of Gaston B. Means as a witness. Means was brought here from federal fed-eral prison in Atlanta nnd Is now being questioned by the district attorney at-torney and his assistants. He may go before the jury today or tomorrow. tomor-row. 5 The appearance of others who played n prominent part in Dougherty's Dough-erty's administration as attorney general! including Eoxie Stlnston, who may be cnlled later nnd Adna II. Johnson, assistant to Dnuglierty during Ills regime as attorney gen- eral. Federal District Attorney Emory II. Huckncr today declined to mnke any comment on the reports which center aliout the trial. v "I'm padlocked on this and I have !een padlocked since I began working work-ing on it on December .1," Buckner said. "All I can say Is that the investigation in-vestigation will continue for at least several weeks more and that until it is finished nothing can come out regarding the evidence being given before the grand jury."
