Show HIGH SCHOOL NEWS NOTES One of the most thrilling basket ball games of the season is anticipated antici-pated tonight at the Springville gym when the fast Xophi hoopsters, wlio defeated Springville one " point in the game at Xephi, plays a return. "Once in a Blue Moon" is the title of nn -opera to be staged by the music department of the high school: under the direction of Director J. K. ; Booth.. The story is by Gordon lb-1 hot son, and the mu.sic hy Noble Cain. The story is very interesting and the music is especially good. It is a musical romance prologue in three acts. The chorus work is now under way, and the principals .will be selected in a few days. The presentation will be made some time in March. Don't forget the high school play, "Golden Days," to be presented at the Opera House Wednesday .evening, .even-ing, February 10, under the direction direc-tion of Miss Melba Condie. Tickets Tick-ets on sale Monday at Packard's Confectionery. The moving picture .benefit and the Band concert were both very successful in getting a start of means to help put over the big art exhibit this year. Responses are coming in from all parts of the United States from artists who have been invited to exhibit. Principal E. E. Knudsen will deliver de-liver a talk, "Problems of the Junior Jun-ior High School," at teachers' institute insti-tute of the Xebo school district, to be held at Payson Saturday, Feb. 6. About 20 per cent of the students have been out of school this week with bad colds. |
