Hansen and children, Heed and Kay, Itox and Helen, of Sun Bernardino, California, will spend the next two months visiting with Mrs. C. O. Claudin and Mrs. Roy Collings. Miss Helen Groesbeck spent the week-end here wilh her parents. Service Star Legion and patrons of Springvillec hapter furnished the Whipple Barracks for disabled sol-dierse sol-dierse last year 85 glasses of jelly, 19 feather pillows and 12 laundry oags. Mrs. Frank Burt, of Lorenzo, Idaho, Ida-ho, Mrs. Elizn Thorn and Mrs. Mary Finely were dinner guests of Mrs. Mi.ii.ni Miner last Saturday. Harold Johnson os file dry goods department of Taylor Bros. Co. has accepted a position in the dry goods department of the Norman-Jensen Co. at Eureka. Mr. Johnson left Monday for Eureka and Mrs. Johnson John-son will move to Eureka in about a month. Mrs. Essie DeVenish was hostess to a card party last Wednesday evening. eve-ning. A very delightful evening was spent, after which dainty refreshments re-freshments were served to seventeen seven-teen guests. Mrs. Essie Devenish and daughter daugh-ter Louise, accompanied by friends from Provo, were Salt Lake visitors last week. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Bird were weekend week-end visitors in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boycr were honor guests at a party given at the j home of Mr. and Mrs. John Mendenhall Men-denhall Saturday evening. Mrs. Rue Packard and daughter Betty Lou, of Magna, are visiting this week with Dr. and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Mace. Mrs. Clair Johnson, of Colorado Springs, is visiting with her father, J. A. Packard. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hales of Spanish Span-ish Fork were the Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. W. L. Grooms. Mr. Joseph Allan, deputy game warden and Mr. Sears Willis, government gov-ernment trapper, came in Snuday evening with two mountain lions, caught near by Neho Creek about eight miles above Thistle. These lions kill on an average of one deer a week, or fifty-two deer a year. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Brown will leave Monday morning for Portland, Oregon, where they will visit their daughter, Mrs. James E. Stanton. Mrs. Rose Boyer is visiting tills week In Nephi with her parents. Miss LeLois Wood, of American Fork, was the week-end guest of Miss Florence Childs. Miss Thelma Boyer entertained a few friends at games and music Sunday evening. Mrs. C. D. Evans of Salt Lake is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Leu Wiscomb. Albert Thorpe was in Salt Lake City Tuesday on business. Miss Eva Llewellyn of Fountain Green was the week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Robertson. Mrs. Lucy Robertson is visiting this week with her daughter, Mrs. Jessie Waelley of Pleasant Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Robertson had as their guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weight and family. Mr. and Mrs. Jabez Taylor entertained enter-tained at their home for the following follow-ing Tuesday afternoon: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Taylor, Mrs. Von Olsen and family, Mrs. Martha Burt, Mrs. May Huntington, Mrs. Ivy Burt of Lorenzo, Idaho, and Mrs. John Burt.
