Show ILL A. OPENS SEASONS WORK The M. I. A. Jn every ward of the Koloh stake oponed their winter's win-ter's work last Tuesday evening with a social for the members. The following report waa sent In of the program held In the Spring-ville Spring-ville Second ward . One hundred or more enthusiastic M. I. A. workers met in the Second ward chapoll for the first M. I. A. meeting of the season; among which were a numor of young girls nnd boys who are ready to leave the primary pri-mary and go on with thir splendid work in the Mutual. A short program was conducted by Victor Frandsen, a member of the recreation committee, which consisted con-sisted of two vocal duets rendered by Nettie Pierce and Dorothy Turner; Turn-er; two comical musical nnmlers were given by Victor Frandsen and his crew of warblers from the "M" men. Miss Vessa Donaldson told, in brief, the work to be carried' on by the various classes of the .Young Ladies association and John Vain-wright Vain-wright gave in a splendid speech, the work that the V. M. M. I. A. will carry on. The rest of the evening waa spent with games and dancing. A vase or two of flowers added to the cheerfulness of the room. Miss Jessie Alleman will act as president of the Young Ladies, with Florence Childs and Hazel Harrison as first and second" counselors, respectively. re-spectively. With such, leaders, and the aid of other efficient officers, the Second ward M. I. A. expects to do big things during the coming year. |
