Show SPRINGVILLE GRIDSTERS BEAT MINERS The Springville high school grid-ders grid-ders defeated' Eureka high Friday 3S to 0, in the first league game played at Springville this year. Coach Ike Young's men showed real football class from the first kick-off till the last of the game. Early in the game, their superiority over the visitors both ill carrying the nail and on the defense was very noticeable notice-able to the unusuuU large crowd on the sidelines. At no time during the 60 minutes of play did the visitors even threaten to score. Springville made a touchdown in each of the first three quarters and two in the last. Buss Jensen broke through the line in the second quarter quar-ter and made a sensational 50 yard run for a touch-down but the score was not counted because of a foul called on one of the other players. T'he first touchdown came early in the game when Clair Gudmund-son Gudmund-son broke through the line and carried car-ried the hall ten yards over the line. Jensen failed to kick safe. The second sec-ond touchdown was put over with a line buck yard by yard, the ball being be-ing carried by Alden Childs. Bu.s Jensen made a safe kick. A line buck from close range put Clair Gudmundsen and Myron Childs over for the third and fourth touchdowns and the fiflh was taken over on a sensational forward pass from the 30-yard line by Carney Car-ney Johnson1.
