Show Plans For Annual Drive for Funds Outlined and i Discussed "Timpanogos district council, according ac-cording to last month's report, leads the world," said Oscar A. Kirkham, the principal speaker at the anT nual meeting of tbe scout workers of Timpanogos council Monday evening even-ing at the Brigham Young utiver-j sity. "I tell you that is something to be proud of. To lead the world in a movement for better boys is far lietter than to lead tbe world in a movement for better cattle." Room "D," the old library rooom in the education building at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university was filled to capacity with, scout workers, presidents presi-dents of stakes and high councilors, bishops and M. I. A. workers from all over the district Wasatch stake affiliated with the council but not active in scouting had delegates present to participate in the meeting meet-ing and to petition the executive board for a meeting in Heber where scouting could actually be organized. The reports showed that there has been an increase of nine scout trops adn an increase in enrollment enroll-ment of more than 450. The meeting meet-ing was the most enthusiastic meeting meet-ing ever held in the council, according accord-ing to men who hase been in the |
