And there are scores of songs ... to a background of native mariachi music Elvis sings a generous total of elev-en. In addition to the title song, there are "Vino, Dinero y Amor," "Mexico," "El Toro." Elvis Presley goes south of the border for the first time in his film making .career for the new Hal Wallis production of "Fun In Acapulco." This beau-tifully scenic film, including a bevy of some of the world's prettiest girls, is in stunning Technicolor and opens at the Uintah Theatre on Thursday. Elvis portrays a trapeze ar-tist who has come to Mexico to recoup his thoughts after a circus accident has injured his brother ... an accident which he feels he is to blame. In the fun-fille- d city of Acapulco, Elvis becomes a part time entertain-er and beach boy . . . and a full time lover. The many songs he sings are exciting and def-initely up his alley. One of them, "Bossa Nova Baby," is certain to become one of his highest hits. The Paramount release was filmed on location in Mexico. '4 - J SOUTH OF THE BORDER WITH ELVIS Elvis Presley goes to Mexico for his latest musical, "Fun in Acapulco" in Technicolor and opening Thursday at the Uintah Theatre. In the film, Elvis sings ten new songs including his new hit, "Bossa Nova Baby" and other popular modern favorites. Paramount film features many beautiful girls "Under the Yum Yum Tree," new Columbia comedy starring Jack Lemmon at the Para-mount1- Theatre, is one of the raciest, wildest, happiest and healthiest films ever to hit the screen. It is fresh, in the sence of oiginal, and it is fresh . . . in the sence of "fresh!" Produced by Frederick Bris-so- n and directed by David Swift, "Under the Yum Yum Tree" is chiefly set in an apartment house packed with pretty girls; Lemmon, as the unabashed girl-chas- er who owns the place, will rent to no others. Not even the arrival of Carol Lynley and her fiance, Dean Jones, is allowed to up-set Lemmon's dreams of con-quest; the young couple's pre-marital fiynprimpnt in "rla tonic togetherness" merely adds additional zest to Lem-mon's pursuit of the shapely Carol. Also complicating Lem-mon's hoped-fo- r love life are Edie Adams, as Carol's aunt and a former tenant, a worldly-w-ise young woman fully aware of the landlord's persua-sive ability to er even the finest of feminine re-sistance. Imogene Coca makes her feature film debut in "Under the Yum Yum Tree" as Lem-mon's heartilly disapproving housekeeper, who watches with glee as Lemmon goes down to one defeat after another in his determined chase after the new girl across the hall, and Paul Lynde is seen as her hen-pecked husband, Lemmon's man-of-a- ll work. ................ rW,NS4 .nrceVdranthVOHN WATOB as "Lintock" Yvonne dSi The filmt n aMaureen 'Hara and ptpl THEATRES Geneva 2257829 Icademy mis A R C H I !
