Bigler of Indianola have returned from an enjoy- able tour of the Northwest and Canada. They stopped at Lake Louise and also enjoyed a tour ot Vancouver, B.C. and Vic-toria. The Butchart Gardens at Victoria was one of the highlights of the tour. They took a ferry to Port Angeles and saw the fisheries on the Washington coast. Returning by way of the Columbia rivei and the Bonneville Dam, they were gone in all about two weeks. ; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Boyer and children visited in Spring-vill- e this week from Las Ve-gas, Nev. Mrs. Boyer came before her husband and at-tended the wedding breakfast for her neice Susan, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. G. W. Ander-son at Ogden. She also visited a brother-in-la- Walt Proth-er- o of Provo, who has suffer-ed a heart attack. During their stay here, they have been the house guest of her mother, Mrs. Owen Hall. Swenson A farewell testimonial will be held in the Fifth ward Sun-day evening, ' August 18, for John Allan Swenson, son of John and Verlaine Swenson, who is leaving soon for Aus-tralia. The program is planned for 4:30 p.m., and members of his ward and friends are invited He enters the mission home August 26. Ernest Eberhardt, Jr., will be a speaker at the testimon-ial as will Bishop Leonard James. There will be a vocnJ solo by Ruth Beardall and a vocal duet by Melba Wheeler and Reid Hunter, accompanied by Marilyn Robertson. Remarks will be made by the parents of the missionary and a response by the mission-ary. .Randy Swenson will give a scriptural reading, accom-panied by Helen Eastmond. The invocation will be by Gary Swenson and the bene-diction by Robert Eastmond. The congregation will give the opening and closing num-bers and the Sacrament hymn.
