Show families home from Hawaii Home the latter part of last week from a most enjoyable vacation trip to Hawaii, were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. Strong Sr., who took as their guests to the islands, members of their family, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Er-nest A. (Bert) Strong, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Richins and Mr. and Mrs. John -Strong. They made the ti-ip both ways by jet and also went by plane to see the various islands. They spent two weeks on the islands touring the many scenic areas including the temple, tem-ple, Pearl Harbor, the pineapple pine-apple plantations and other places. Mr. and Mrs. Strong Sr., said many things have changed since their trip there several years ago, but the people peo-ple are still very friendly and the islands are beautiful with imany large hotels and other i modern buildings replacing na-,'tive na-,'tive huts on the main island 'beaches. He combined the vacation va-cation with business attending sessions of the convention of the 12th district Boy Scouts of America. On Slnday, members of the family called on their father to extend birthday wishes and enjoyed looking over pictures of the Hawaiian trip. |
