Show membership hedihst All members of the SMART club, together with all sports-minded sports-minded men of Springville and Mapleton, are invited to attend at-tend the membership kick-off breakfast at the Sage Motel, Saturday morning- at 7 a.m. Besides stressing membership member-ship in the athletic organization, organiza-tion, President Edgel Oldroyd announces that Clarence Robinson, Rob-inson, BYU track coach, will be the principal speaker at the breakfast. Reservations can be made by calling HU 9-6281, Averett and Rowland Barber Shop, or Edgel's Sport Shop, HU 9-6497. SMART, which is in its 2nd year as an organization, has been instrumental in stimulating stimulat-ing athletic events in the city and at the high school. They gave a $100.00 scolarship last year, recipient of which was Sid Whiting. They provided block ' S pins for all senior lettermen. During the football season, they filmed some of the games to be shown and also al-so assisted in the sales of sea-on sea-on tickets. They are also active ac-tive in promoting and asisting with the baseball program in the two cities. |
