T. C. Gavin over basic training T. C, Gavin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton L. Gavin of 970 So. 600 E., Springville, has completed nine weeks of basic recruit training at the Naval Training Center, Can Diego, California, with graduation cermonies held March 8. The indoctrination to Navy life consists of physical fitness drills, military drills, seamanship, seaman-ship, basic military law, .customs .cus-toms and etiquette of the naval na-val service, swimming and survival, sur-vival, and first aid. During the training, recruits receive tests and interviews which determine future training train-ing and assignments in the Navy.
