Rumel Cragun, has accepted a call to serve as an LDS missionary in the North British Mission from the Third Ward. His farewell testimonial is set Sunday at 6:45 p.m., in the ward chapel, to which, ward members and friends are in-vited. He enters the mission home June 24. Speakers at the farewell will be Richard Conover and Bish-op Calvin Packard, with re-marks by the parents and the missionary will give a re-sponse. David and Gloria Sargent will play a piano duet and postlude and prelude music will be by Mrs. Oleah Sar-gent. Other music will be by the congregation. The invocation will be by William Don Cragun and the benediction by Edmund Cra-gun. James William Cragun, who will serve in the North Brit-ish LDS Mission field. Friends give farewell party A going away party was given at the home of Karen H. Dixon recently to honor Er-len- e Child before she left on a six-wee- study tour in Eu-rope. Guests entered the enter-taining rooms by a stairway decorated with travel posters designating the destination of the guest of honor and each one attending received clever passports as favors. DUP Camps enjoy social Approximately 140 DUP members attended the annual Jubilee outing at the Mapleton Park and recreational hall, honoring Brigham Young. The group enjoyed a box lunch and program arranged by officers of the East-Sout- h Utah County DUP camps with Mrs. Mary Smart, president of the organization, chairman. Mrs. Aleen Lopez of Camp Kolob arranged the program. It was the first annual so-cial of the camps since they were organized into the new East-Sout- h Utah Co. group. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Barrett and four children, Peggy, Tommy, Jimmy and Teddy are leaving June 27, to make their home in Greely, Colo., where Mr. Barrett will be claims superintendent over Nevada state for State Farm Mutual Insurance Company. |
