Show Fcriner resident earns degree from Stanford The degree of doctor of education edu-cation was awarded to F. Dee Sanford at graduation exer-i exer-i cises at Stanford University Sunday. Dr. Sanford is a native na-tive of Springville and a teacher teach-er at Springville High School five years -before- moving to Menlo Park, California. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Sanford of this city. A graduate of Springville High School, he received his bachelor of arts degree from Brigham Young University, majoring in business administration. adminis-tration. He later earned his master of arts degree from BYU in secondary school administration ad-ministration and taught at Payson Junior High School. He was counselor at the latter school and while teaching at Springville High he also acted as school counselor, coached baseball and assisted in football foot-ball coaching. At present Dr. Sanford is assistant superintendent of Sequoia Se-quoia Union High School District, Dis-trict, where he has held positions po-sitions as administrative assistant, as-sistant, director of personnel, business manager for the Sequoia District, near San Francisco, the fourth largest high school district in California. Calif-ornia. He has been employed a lecturer in school administration admin-istration at Stanford Univers-"y. Univers-"y. and this fall will teach a curse in school business man-a?emen man-a?emen at Stanford. Dr- Sanforu is married to former Denise Montague Redwood City, Calif., and mey have a daughter, Kay.
