ENGAGED Miss Brenda Anderson, whose engagement to Robert H. Blackwell is announced this week, the wedding to take place on August 28 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Breu-ing- er and four children of Bue-n- a Vista, Colorado, spent a week visiting relatives here in-cluding Mr. Breuinger's par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Breu-ing- er and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Llewellyn. Mrs. Adah Jessee has just returned from Roosevelt where she spent three weeks, as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Theo A. Phillips and helped them celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary. ,.,. ui... .iu , , J , f'i 1 1 MISS VENICE CHRISTENSEN of Mapleton whose marriage to J. Rulon Gammon of Vineyard will be an event of August. Miss Venice Christensen sets nuptial date with J. R. Gammon Planning an early August wedding are attractive Miss Venice Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cleon P. Christensen of Mapleton, and J. Rulon Gammon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gammon of Vineyard. The marriage is planned for August 1 in the Salt Lake Temple, and a reception will honor the couple the following evening at Kolob Stake House. Miss Christensen was an honor graduate of Springville High School this spring and was also a member of the Steno Club. Mr. Gammon is a graduate of Orem High School and has completed an LDS mission in the Central States. He plans to enroll at Brigham Young University. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Weight and children Michelle, Saundra and Jo are home from an en-joyable vacation in California. They were guests of her sis-ter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Blanchard and family at Long Beach and enjoyed tours of Disneyland, Marineland, the Knotts Berry farm and other points of interest. They also saw a game between the Dod-gers and Milwaukee at the Dodger Stadium in Los Ange-les. They visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack Child at Huntington Beach and Lonie Child, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Child accompanied them home. She has been employed at Santa Ana, the past year. The second week of their vacation, the Weights spent at Yellowstone Park and visited a brother Ted Weight and family at Mam-moth, where he is park ranger during the summer. Mutual groups invited to July parties Kolob Stake and Springville Stake M Men and Gleaners have been invited to a party at Saratoga Friday, July 12, by the West Utah and East Provo Stake groups. Those who desire to go are urged to get tickets from Council presidency or Council representative and meet at the respective Stake House at 5:30 p.m. for rides to the resort. All will meet at trie Lakeshore Terrace. Eating will start at 8:30 p.m., and there will be swimming, rides, golf and lake cruises. Springville Stake party All parents of M Men and Gleeners of Springville Stake are invited to join the young people for a party July 18, at 7:30 p.m., at the Lion Fire-place in Hobble, Creek Canyon. Boy to Howard and Mary Jo Peterson Weight, July 1, at Temple View, New Zealand. The new arrival named Rus-sell Howard, has a sister. Mr. Weight is teaching English at the church school in New Zea-land. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Weight of Springville. Girl, to Dan and Lois Lowe Bartholomew, June 26, at Highland, Calif. The new baby, born on her brother's second birthday, also has a sister. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Olson Jr. and ,their son Gary and daugh-ter Janet of Torrence, Calif., were here for the funeral of Mrs. Olsen's father, James Childs. Another daughter An-na Lou Olsen and her fiance, Ted Stone also came from California for the funeral mak-ing the trip by plane and re-turning next day.
