The Concert is an official of-ficial event of the 'Days of 47' celebration and will kick off the week long celebration with fun and music on July 15th. Special guest star ALADDIN ALAD-DIN from the Lawrence Welk Show will appear in person with Mr. Jelesnik and the Orchestra. Or-chestra. ALADDIN will appear ap-pear in the role of narrator, singer, violinist and Conductor. Conduct-or. Other performers will include in-clude soprano Billie Loukas, pianist Bob Davis and the Calypso Ca-lypso singing Terry Sisters. The FREE Concert is sponsored spon-sored by the Salt Lake City Parks Department and is a major event in the. 'Days of 47' celebration. Some of the selections featured on the program pro-gram will be, melodies from "West Side Story," selections from "Gigi," "The Lovliest Night of the Year," "Let's Go to the Rodeo," Mr. Jelesnik's latest popular ballad, "A Part Time Romance," composed in collaboration with Utah's own Harold Orlob; "The JFK March," and many others. L. C. Romney, general chairman of annual event urges the entire en-tire family to attend the Concert Con-cert and also to come early in order to insure a seat for everyone. |
