She was assisted by Mrs. Eva Robertson. Supper was served at tables centered with unique bottles trimmed to look like maids holding flowers. flow-ers. Place cards were dolls made of wooden spoons. Prizes for the Best attire were presented to Mrs. Dave Long and Mrs. Floyd Lowe. i The Mapleton Second Ward will be sponsoring a building fund banquet next Friday evening even-ing in the ward recreation hall to which . all ward members and their families are cordially invited The ward ' Sunday School officers will be in charge of arrangements. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Mendenhall was the scene for family dinner Sunday where all the members of their family with their children assembled as-sembled to welcome home their parents who have recently returned re-turned from a short mission to the Western States LDS of the evening was Dr. W. Among the Mapleton residents resi-dents who attended General LDS Conference last week were Mrs. Ronald Graves, stake worker; wor-ker; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Graves, Mr. and Mrs. George Murray, Mrs. John Young, Mrs. Gary Rasmussen, Mrs. Harold DeGraw and Mrs. Pres-, Pres-, ton Hooper. mission field. Guests included their daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jensen and son from Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Mehr and family from Idaho Falls, Ida., Mr. and Mrs. Dave DeYoung and children from Los Angeles, California and their son Bruce Mendenhall and his family of Mapleton. Other callers at their home that day were Mr. and Mrs. Milton Johnson and family, Miss Mildred Johnson and Dean Cook and the Alvin Youngs all from Huntington. Other guests included Joseph Mendenhall, Menden-hall, Mr. and Mrs. Barney 'Mendenhall 'Men-denhall of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Mendenhall Menden-hall of Payson. Welcome home services for Mr. and Mrs. Mendenhall' were conducted in the Mapleton Ward Sunday evening. The Mapleton Firemen held their monthly meeting last week with chairman Wave Miguel Mi-guel in charge. Guest speaker Officers of the Little League Baseball met recently1 at the City Memorial Hall. In the playoff at Nebo Lanes, Art City had 847 pins, Jack & Jill, 844 and Regal, 779 for high team game. |
