All I Know is what I read in the papers. By C. WESLEY BUSARD. One Conspicuously absent force in all our current strides toward freedom is the organ-ized white church. The Negro church has had to go directly into the arena where these social evils exhist and battle with little significant help from the major denominations. Rev. Alcyn L. Roberts, Ne-gro educator. UNCLE JOE says: I ain't got much learnin' about such things but I guess "these soc-ial evils" do exist even in towns where Negros do not live. Mrs. Donna Chalk, a house-wife, told police someone en-tered her home while she was hanging out the wash and dropped an envelope contain-ing 9 $1 bills in the playpen of her daughter. Police admitted curiosity in the spendthrift Santa but said the bills were genuine in all cases. Uncle Joe says: I ain't got much learnin' but it seems to me this typhoon spending could be another JFK preparation act.
