The encampment this year will include in the neighborhood neighbor-hood of 500 young men who will be seniors in high school next year. Purpose of the program is to provide training in the functional func-tional aspects of citizenship. It is a program of education, sponsored by the American Legion Le-gion to teach the youth constructive con-structive attitudes toward the American form of government. There are administrative officers, of-ficers, instructional counselors and supervisors of recreation in charge of the eight-day program. pro-gram. ' The entire cost of the period including board and room, is $35 paid by the sponsoring organization, individual, parent or guardian. A corps of lectures is provided pro-vided for the week; first aid is available and a physician is on duty at all times. Upon their return, the boys will be available and are expected ex-pected to give a complete report re-port to their sponsoring organization or-ganization and to other civic groups. I;.
