Show Services held here for William R. Ili!l Funeral services for William R. Hill, 64, retired postal worker wor-ker who died Thursday in Mesa, Ariz., were conducted Monday in the Wheeler Mor- j tuary chapel. Mr. Hill was a former resident of Springville. The was born Sept. 28, 1896 in this city, a son of Patriarch George R. and Charity Jane Shelton Hill. He was a veter- i an of World War I and a member mem-ber of the American Legion. Mr. Hill was employed for many years by the U.S. Postal 1 Department in Price, Ogden, ; Salt Lake City and Springville. retiring in 1955 because of ill ! health. He had made his home ; in Mesa since retirement. He married Zora Manwaring j of Springville June 19, 1918, j in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Surviving are his widow and ! five children: Mrs. William T. j (Carma) Gleason of Springfield, Spring-field, Va.; Clyde Hill, Bounti- j ful; Blaine Hill, Salt Lake City; Harold Hill, Boise, Ida.; and Mrs. Roland (Anna Jane) Stole of Tujuzzo, Calif.; one brother and two sisters, Dr. ; George R. Hill and Cynthia Smith of Salt Lake City and ; Mary Whitney of Springville. j |
