It was voted at the city council meeting Monday night, to request the couny octmmissioners to release re-lease $1000 of Veterans Memo rial funds to cover cost of the project. This was decided after Wm. Phillips presented to the council plans and cost of the project, which has been approved ap-proved at a previous meeting of the Veterans Council and Veterans Memorial Board. Mr Phillips said today partitions par-titions would be changed, new lights installed, a walkway built on the east side and other facilities built around 12 new rifle ranges for small arms. Hjorth Bros, of Mapleton are assisting with lights and Mapleton will use the center. |
