Show Tea Honors Retiring Kiwanis Club Leaders at President-Elect's Home Tastefully arranged in every detail, was the informal candle-light tea Wednesday evening, given by the newly elected president of Ki- wanis, Howard Maycock and his wife Mary, at their home in compliment to the retiring officers of-ficers of the club. The tea replaced the regular weekly meeting which would have been tonight. Special guests at the function func-tion were Vernon Cook, retiring retir-ing president; Berton Groes- beck, retiring vice-president; Eldon Reese, who served as secretary and has been re-appointed and Oliver Dalton, a director; also Wilbur Snelson, LaVar Cloward, Roland Old-royd, Old-royd, George Bird, Merle Sargent, Sar-gent, Arthur Boyer, Glenn Coffman, who served the past year as directors. Wives of the retiring officers were also special spe-cial guests. Special invitations were also given to new members: Clarence Clar-ence Jensen, Glenn Tipton, Howard Ivory, LuDean Litster, Ruel Crandall and their wives to attend the tea. A large group of club members mem-bers and their partners attended attend-ed the function which was highlighted by glistening holiday holi-day motifs and New Year greetings. Mr. Maycock and other newly new-ly elected club leaders will take over their respective positions after the January installation meeting. Keith Robinson is vice-president and directors are: Arthur Condie, LaVarj Cloward, Roland Oldroyd, W.I L. Snelson, LaMar Weight and A. Blaine Wheeler, with Eldon Reese, secretary, and Vernon Cook holdover director. |
