Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) at 12 noon in the Springville Stake House, for Mrs. Barbara Ferguson Fer-guson Francis, 65, who died Monday evening at the Utah Valley Hospital as result of a blood clot. She had been confined con-fined to the hospital about three weeks and was believed improving, when she passed away suddenly. Bishop Leonard James of the Fifth ward, will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork cemetery. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary before the services. Mrs. Francis was born May 10, 1894, in Lake Shore, a daughter of Andrew and Annie An-nie Maria Simmons Ferguson. She was married to Samuel Francis on Jan. 24, 1917, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1937. Mrs. Francis had made her home in Springville since 1938. She was a member of the LDS Church, and active in the Relief Re-lief Society. She had been employed em-ployed at the Utah State Hospital Hos-pital in Provo for the past 12 years. Francis of Springville; Spring-ville; Mrs. Vorris (Marian) Terry of El Cajon, Calif., and Mrs. Carl (Carol) Loveless of Provo; 28 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother bro-ther and four sisters, Gene Ferguson Fer-guson of Oregon; Mrs. Allen Bellows and Mrs. Jess (Jen) Gardner of Orem, Mrs. Caroline Caro-line Hall of Provo, and Mrs. Annie Birch of Salt Lake City. For those who so desire, contributions con-tributions may be made to the Utah State Hospital in lieu of flowers. |
