Show Christmas Gifts Include Snow The weatherman brought a much-needed gift on Christmas Christ-mas day in the form of a real snow storm, the like of which had not been seen here so far this season. Reaching blizzard proportions propor-tions during the afternoon, two or three inches were deposited de-posited about town and considerably con-siderably more in the mountains moun-tains to the delight of farmers far-mers and cattlemen. New sleighs, skiis and skates under the Christmas tree Friday morning, looked quite useless, but by mid afternoon af-ternoon and during the holidays, holi-days, all have been tried out daily. With the temperatures falling fall-ing as low as seven to ten degrees since Christmas, skating on nearby ponds and areas about the county has been good and young skiers are taking advantage of the nearby snow-covered hills while the more experienced take to mountains further away. |
