Show Former Resident Dies in Seattle Bernard Whitney Johnson, 49, former resident of Spring-ville Spring-ville died July 24, of a heart condition in the Seattle, Wash., Army Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday of last week in the Ploegar Mortuary with Bishop Dean Austin of the Seattle LDS 9th ward officiating. Burial Bur-ial was in the Washington Memorial Me-morial Park, where military rites were conducted. He was born in Springville November 6, 1910, a son of J. Bayard and Alice W. Johnson. He had been away from Springville most of the time since graduating from high school and had been employed with the Washington State Fisheries since 1947. Surviving are his wife Ann M. Johnson and son Rex Dean, 1036 S.W. 132rd, Seattle 66, Wash.; also a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Minerva J. Callahan Cal-lahan of Springville; Dean W. Johnson of Provo and Lovell W. Johnson of Seattle, Wash. |
