Shopping Event Stressing the numerous advantages of shopping shop-ping in Springville, merchants of this city are putting on a special 'Back to School' Shopping project beginning today. Most stores will be open later la-ter Friday evening and if the later closing is successful, plans will be made to continue them on other weeks, according to Wilbur "Bish" Snelson, manager mana-ger of J. C. Penney store, and chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Merchant's Committee Commit-tee in charge of the Back to School event. The event will emphasize the theme, "Try Springville First," where there is plenty of parking space and no parking park-ing meters and by trading in' Springville one avoids the extra ex-tra sales tax. The committee points to the fact that Springville merchants are offering a complete selection selec-tion of merchandise for the opening of school sufficient for most people's needs and if local lo-cal merchants are visited first, there will be no necessity to shop elsewhere.
