Davis of the Springville Spring-ville police, who has been elected elec-ted Safety chairman of the PTA, is in charge of the project pro-ject and has spent considerable time training the boys and girls and instructing them in Safety rules and practices. The program requires a dependable de-pendable bicycle with good brakes, a head ilght, rear reflector re-flector and a mild-sounding horn, the police officer said. Bicyclists will be required to pass a written safety test as well as a test in which diagrams dia-grams will be painted at a designated place and the rider will determine when and how to stop and turn as well as other rules involved in riding a bicycle. When the rider passes pas-ses the tests, he will be given a certificate to ride his bicycle, the officer said. All bicycles will be required to have 1960 license plates from the police department.
