Show Snow Coverage Below llorinal Throughout Area Stanley Peterson, Soil Conservation Con-servation Service snow survey-er survey-er for this area, reports that although we have had several storms of varied intensity during dur-ing the latter part of January, which have helped the situation some, we are still considerably behind last year and the average av-erage of the last three yeai-s. Looking at the snow pack-water pack-water content of the various watersheds from the standpoint of a 15-year average the Mount Nebo area is rated at 58; the Spanish Fork River at about 40. This area does not .have a long enough history of snow surveys to support a definite figure. The seven snow courses on Provo River above Vivian Park show this area to be 51 of the 15-year average. The Strawberry Valley is 29 of average, as is the American Fork Canyon area. Expected stream flows for the coming irrigation season as well as a comparison with average av-erage are as follows: American Ameri-can Fork River 21,000 acre feet or 58 of average; Provo River Ri-ver at Vivian Park' 95,000 acre feet or 60 of average; Provo River at Hailstone, 82,000 acre feet or 72 of average; Hobble Hob-ble Creek near Springville, 9,500 acre feet or 40 of average av-erage and Spanish Fork River at Thistle 18,000 acre feet or 40 of average.
