Show Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Thorn of Springville enjoyed dinner at the Homestead. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Arbon (June Thorn) and three children child-ren have returned to their home in Oxnard, Calif., following follow-ing a visit since Fathers Day with June's parents Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thorn. Numerous social functions have been given giv-en in their honor including a party at which Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Giraud were hosts to a group of high school friends; also Mrs. Thorn gave a party for June's girl friends and Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Miller entertained entertain-ed for a large group of Johnson John-son relatives. During their visit, the Arbons took a trip to Brigham City to attend a reunion re-union of the Nelson family on Robert's side and also attended a reunion of the Arbon family at Lagoon, A trip to Mirror Lake was included in socials arranged in their honor with Mr. and Mrs. Thorn acting as hosts to June and husband and to Mr. and Mrs. Vern Bird at dinner at the Homestead. Jane Childs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bliss Childs has gone to Scranton, Pa. to visit her sister and brother-in-law Joseph Jo-seph and Dianne Childs Fazzi. She will stay about a month and her sister & husband will return with her to Springville for a visit. ($reuitie5 . . . Mrs. Blanch Beal enjoyed a visit the past week from three grandsons, Michael and Dennis Beal and Chris Fox all of Salt Lake. The boys returned home with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Beal and Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Fox, who spent the Fourth weekend here. Johnnie Torzillo, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Torzillo has arrived here from Alabama to visit indefinitely with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Clark. Mrs. Carol F. Harmer left Sunday evening by plane to join her husband Dr. Jay F. Harmer at Fort Bragg, So. Carolina. She has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Friel and her husband's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmer in Payson since Jay's graduation and until he was located at the army hospital in which he will serve as a dentist. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thorn and daughter Lu Ann of Glen-dale, Glen-dale, Calif., are in Springville to spend a few days and will be the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thorn. They have been visiting relatives and friends fri-ends in Salt Lake City and Monday evening in company with fourteen couples from Salt Lake and Mrs. G. Lowry |
