Show Coal Cleaning Plant Sets Starting Date Dragerton, Utah Columbia-Geneva Steel Division's new coal cleaning plant will start up this spring, according to R. M. von Storch, general superintendent su-perintendent - coal mines and quarries for U. S. Steel's western wes-tern steelmaking division. Workmen are now installing machinery and equipment designed de-signed to wash up to 600, tons of coal per hour at the new facility near Wellington, Carbon Car-bon County. Major structures at the plant site are now largely complete. com-plete. The principal building, housing the coal washing equipment, is erected and enclosed. en-closed. Standing 13 stories high, the steel-clad structure dominates a 1400-acre site on the Pricn P.iver about two and a half miles southeast of Wellington. |
