Show WOMEN'S AUXILIARY OF LEGION PLANNED Prelim inn ry steps towards the- organ i-zat i-zat ion of t be women's auxilin ry of the America n Legion were discussed yesterday yester-day at the weekly luncheon of the executive execu-tive committee of the legion, held at the Comnvrcutl club, with State Commander Hamilton (lard nor presiding. The auxiliary, auxil-iary, according to instructions just received re-ceived from the legion's national headquarters, head-quarters, will be formed from a class of women, restricted to wives, mothers or sisters of members of the army, navy or marine corps killed during the war. The discussion outlined the machinery to bo used in effect ing the organization of the auxiliaries. It was decided tiiat 1 the chairmen of the pests throughout the state should issue calls for organization i meetings, preside at these meetings until tempora ry officers should be elected by i the women, and then turn the work over i to the women for completion. ! A state-wide advertising and publicity compaign to promote membership enroll en-roll men t was undertaken today with the appointment of committeemen to direct preliminary work along this line. |
