Show Proposes to Increase Postage. VV'ASIIIXGTOX, Dec. 12. Newspapers containing' more than twenty-four paes would be charged live times tho present postage rate under a bill introduced by Senator Jones, Democrat, or Xew Alcxlco. The senator said publishers in his state complained that only the bip; civ papers with their own mills were able to obtain all tho print paper they needed. "Twenty-four pages will give ample space for current news and advertisements' advertise-ments' said Senator Jones. |
