Reinecke, executive ; secretary of the woman's division of the I National Republican party, arrived in i Salt Lake last night. Mrs. Reinecke is making a survey of political conditions. She will confer today with Mrs. Justin R. Davis, state chairman of the Republican Republi-can women of Uta.h, Mrs. Jcanctte A. Hyde and members of the state committee. com-mittee. Mrs. Rcinoke, who came to Salt Lake from the Chicago Republican headquarters, headquar-ters, said she found the son timijnt in general that tho -Republicans will carry the nation in the next presidential election. elec-tion. In order to make a snrvev of tho states to ascertain political sentiment, she expects ex-pects to visit every section west of the Mississippi. In Colorado, she said, the sentiment seemed to be that the Republicans would carry the state. Wyoming, she said, would go very strongly Republican. Some apprehension ap-prehension is felt regarding Utah, how-i ever, and to ascertain how conditions stand here is one object of Mrs. Rein-ecke's Rein-ecke's visit. She will leave todav for Idaho, later visiting Montana and the coast states. She expressed the belief thnt the suf-'frage suf-'frage amendment will he ratified in the required number of states before tho next presidential election, thus giving all women an opportunity- to vote. She says the women of the Republican' party are working in hearty exoneration with tho men, and that through cooperation of state organizations the future will speak for itself. Mrs. Reinecke says the official Republican Re-publican speaking campaign will not begin be-gin until early next year. A three-davl local conference is being planned for early ! in January. j |
