Show STOCKMEN WIN IN RACE WITH DEATH KLAMATH FALLS, Ore., Dec. 13. Gene Childera and Walter Campbell, stockmen, outran death In front of the Southern Pacific locomotive epeeding to Kirk. . The stockmen were riding horses through a deep cut when the train was heard behind them. They raced their mounts at top speed, but the train gained rapidly. Just as it was about to hit them the men leaped to safety in the deep snow at the side of the cut. The next instant their horses were struck and killed. |
