TWIN FALLS, Idaho, June 12, With 200 delegates and visitors, representing more than fifty chapters In the state, the seventeenth annual session of tho Idaho grand chapter, Order of the Eastern East-ern Star, opened yesterday morning in the Masonic temple. Led by Captain P. W. McKoberts bear ing a big American flag, the grand officers offi-cers marched to their stations, while the assemblage stood. at attention. The session was convened by Mrs. Minnie Hobbs of Mountaia Home, grand matron. Dr. W. F. McMahon of Lewiston, grand patron, presented the distinguished visitors, vis-itors, including a number of past grand matrons and past grand patrons. Mrs. Mary Shields of Moscow, grand assooiate conductress, responded to the address of welcome delivered by Mrs. E. L. Van Riper of Buhl, past grand matron. The Buhl chapter exemplified the ritualistic ritu-alistic work Tuesday evening, and Wednesday evening the Twin Falls chapter chap-ter exemplified the floral work, and the Hollister chapter served refreshments. Filer chapter Monday evening entertained enter-tained at a reception in Rebroco roof gardens at Filer, for the grand chapter officers, delegates and visitors, nearly 400 being present. 1 More than fifty cars were placed at the disposal of those attending from here. |
