Show FEDERAL FORGES EWKJCELES Skirmishes Reported Near Outskirts of Juarez; Situation Sit-uation Critical. WASHINGTON, June 12. The Mexican embassy made public today to-day the following telegram from the Mexican consul general at El Paso, Texas: "The city of Juarez quiet; not a single Villista follower has approached ap-proached the city and reports of fights and skirmishes given out by the press are entirely false. Main body of bandits under Villa and Angeles are over thirty miles south of the city of Juarez and in no condition to attack.' JUAREZ, Mexico, June 12. At 9 o'clock tonight all was tranquil In Juarez, but advance forces of General Angeles were reported to have engaged in skirmishes with Mexican federals early in tho afternoon along tho Mexican side of the Rio Grande. There Is no report on the number of casualties, which apparently appar-ently were Insignificant. General Francisco Gonzales, the federal j commander, told the Associated Press to-' to-' day that he was not apprehensive of an attack or that any forces General Felipe Angeles and Francisco Villa had in this vicinity could take the city.
