Young Swain, who is a clean looliinu hoy, passed a bad check for $3011 in thi city, and. according to the police, has a trad of bad chocks through a number of cities, including Salt Lake, -Denver Ogden, Seattle and San Francisco His frank and smiliiv; admission of the chart'o against him woidd probably have won him probation in the juvenile court If the police records from other cities had not appeared against him. Millard Swain, according to Juvenile Ulficor James R. Shields, was arrested in Salt Lake in the latter part of June or early part of Juiy for passing fictitious checks.
