Show BONNEVILLE POST -DECRIES BOLSHEVISM Americanism was the subject of a lecture lec-ture by the Tic v. George Kwing Davlcs of the First Presbyterian church before the Bonneville post. American Legion, at the Commercial club last night- Dr. Da vies reviewed the principles on which the t'nited States government is founded, explained the fallacy of the teachings of the Industrial Workers of the World and other, syndicalists and! anarchists, and admonished his hearers not to be led astray by flowery promises that are impossible of fulfillment. At the conclusion of the address the following resolution was passed by the post : "Whereas, the American Degion stands for one hundred per cent Americanism, and "Whereas, the Industrial Workers of the World, the. Bolsheviki and other advocates ad-vocates of syndicalism and anarchy are seeking to overthrow the organized government gov-ernment as established by the constitution consti-tution of the United States of America; now therefore be it "Resolved, That the Bonneville post No. 20, Utah State branch of the American Legion, go on record as being opposed to all teachings set forth by the Industrial Indus-trial Workers of the World, the Bol sheviki or other organizations seeking the overthrow of the United States government govern-ment and the establishment of syndicalism syndical-ism or anarchy." |
