Show ARMY EQUIPMENT TO EE SHOWN AT FAIR Arrangements have been made by the Salt Lake army recruiting station to put on exhibition at the state fair a large display of army equipment, it was announced an-nounced yesterday. The exhibit, which will be on the second sec-ond floor of the manufacturers' building, will contain equipment from the ordinance ordi-nance department, the quartermaster corps, the signal corps, the engineer corps, the air service, the medical department, de-partment, and also many articles taken from the Germans. Officers and men from the station will be in attendance to explain the various articles. Among the th ingr to be shown are 37-millimeter field guns, three-inch trench morters, Browning machine guns, Marlin aircraft guns, aerial bombs, hand and rifle grenades, and a complete set of infantry in-fantry eq u i p m e n t . There wiii alo be exhibited the various kinds of uniforms worn by the men in service and sample boards showing the different insignia of rank and of service of non-commissioned officers and privates, pri-vates, and an explanatory collection of the campaign badges. In the signal corps display will be live carrier pigeons, wireless ' telephone apparatus appa-ratus and field radio sets. |
