Show WYOMING II Ogden Visitor in Habit of of Carrying Large Sums of Money, Friend Says. Special to Tho Tribune. OUUEX, Dee. 25. The positive identification identi-fication of the man who was murdered early yesterday morning as Gcorpe Lowes, was made today by V. V. Corconin, president of the Plioenix-AVyoming Oil company of Rawlins, AVyo., whoso name was attached to the letter found on tho body of the victim. Mr. Corcoran also expressed the belief that I -owes had between be-tween M00 and $500 in bin po.ssession when he caino to Ogrlen December 19. Lowes, according to Corcoran, was fond of playing pool and billiards. 1 1 is believed be-lieved that Lowes was playing his favorite favor-ite same with men who lured him to a lonely spot in the railroad yards and killed him when they learned he had money. Tho belief also is expressed that Lowes was enticed to the spot of the murder by two men. After their victim was dead or dying, tho two men, the police say, carried him to the shed at the rear of the Thomas Clark home, where tho body, yet warm, was found at 0:30 o'clock yesterday m oruing. Mr. Corcoran said that he will bo. in Ogde'n a number of days, and will exert his utmost efforts to run clown tho murderers mur-derers of his friend. Speaking of the murdered mur-dered man, Mr. Corcoran said-. "-owes was not a man who associated with chance acquaintances, but it is my opinion that he fell into the hands of persons per-sons who knew he had money. It was Lowes's habit to carry from $200 to $300 in currency with him at all times. When he left Green It i ver he had just drawn a pay check for $1-16. Heliad been working as a machinist's helper.
