Show PRESSMEN'S UNION DISCUSSES SALARIES ST. LOUIS, Nov. 19. Salaries of permanent per-manent officers to be elected, and death benefits were discussed today by delegates dele-gates perfecting- the organization of the Newspaper Web Pressmen's Union of North and South America, formed here Monday. It was announced the per capita tax would be 75 cents a month, and that dues, which vary in different cities, would be the same as those of the International Printing Pressmen's and Assistants' union, from which the new organization withdrew. A resolution urging officials of aD web pressmen's locals to request newspaper news-paper publishers In their districts to eradicate from present contracts reference refer-ence to the International Pressmen and Assistants' union was adopted at today's session of the convention of the newly-organlaed newly-organlaed web pressmen's union. It was decided definitely that the new organization organiza-tion shouid be known as the "United Association As-sociation of Web Pressmen and Juniors of North and South America." |
