Show NEVADA MINE I SHIPS MERCURY Samples From Recent Strike at Simon-Fagan Property Prop-erty Assay High. MTXA, Nov. Nov. U. Work on the Consolidated Con-solidated West Extension Simon Mines company is being pushed vigorously, the crosscut from the 110-foot level being i 162 feet from the shaft. In prospecting on tho surface the other day a ledge was uncovered nt a point about 200 feet in a westerly direction from the shaft, which, when sampled and assayed, ga-VG every indication of being a genuine find of great importance, ns it indicates the presence of an ore body, the existence of which was totally unsuspected. Trenchinj; is being carried on with a view of determining the size and trend of of the ore body, which at present is apparently ap-parently about soventv feet wide. What is believed to be the largest shipment ship-ment of quicksilver ever Dent from a Nevada Ne-vada camp went out from Mina on Southern South-ern Pacific train No. "3 last night. It consisted of eighty-seven flasks from the Ferry-Bedford lease, and twelve flasks from the Jrew-Bugg property, both in the Pilot Mountal ncinnabar district, some twelve miles east of Mina- The total value of the shipment at the present price of quicksilver is about $7400. The Simon Silver Consolidated M'.ntng company, recently incorporated by a group of Reno mining men, has acquired, in addition to its claims near the Simon Silver-Ireful mine, a group of six claims In the (..old Range district, just west of Mina, and proposes to start an active development de-velopment campaign at once. Some samples from the recent strike on the Simon-Fagan property have just been brought In, assays from which run well up to $100 rer ton. At present there is exposed an eight-inch streak of this high-grade, high-grade, which shows a tendency to widening. |
