Show WORK IS PLANNED BY CATHOLIC BOARD By Universal Service. CHICAGO. Nov. The extension of its missionary work to all parts of the world and especially to the far and near east and the expenditure of $10,000,000 on this work the coming year was planned at the first meeting of the American board of Catholic missions held at the residence of Archbishop Munde-lein Munde-lein here today. The members of this board, which was created at the recent conclave of the American Catholic hierarchy at Wash Ington. are Archbishop Mundelein, Arch- bishop Moeler of Cincinnati, Archbishop Harty of Omaha. Archbishop Hayes of New York and Bishop Canevin of Pitts-bufg. Pitts-bufg. All were present at today's meeting. In making its plans the board called Into conference the heads of all the various missionary activities operating in the United States and in dependencies and in foreign lands. Education and charity, as well as religion, are integral parts of this missionary program. |
