E. McGinty, manager of the Kcarns building, wrho can give eleven real reasons for kicking at present costs of food and clothing. Although some people may think their problem of keeping a family a hard one, Mr. McGinty 's problem is greater than that of most persons in Salt Lake. He says, however, that his greatest for- tune is his lamily, and though he may not equal son men in wealth, he surpasses the majority of men in family. Mrs. McGint3", moreover, disproves the old adage that having a family makes one grow old. Her motto is: "Don't worry; smile."' Both Mr. and Mrs. McGinty take great pride in their familv, each one of whom thejr say has a different personal', per-sonal', but all of whom have no respect for the high cost of living. During the war Mr. McGinty declared Hoover had nothing on .him, and since the war, with costs going up, he thinks every family man should take an active ac-tive interest in fighting the high cost of living. Mr. McGinty terms his family a bunch of odd ones, as all nine have odd figures for ages. Strange to say, the way of arrival of the family has been two girls, a bo-, two girls, a boy, two girls and a boy, all of whom were born in Salt Lake Cit3'. The two oldest children are in high school, and the next five in district school, so Mr. McGinty thinks ho is not alone helping along education, but also helping add j to Utah's best crop. i |
