Show PARK CITY SOLDIERS ARE GIVEN WELCOME Special to The Tribune. PARK CITY, Sept. 2. The welcome-home welcome-home celebration yesterday in behalf of the returned service men was one of the most successful affairs ever held in Park City. The parade, which was participated in by the honor guests and members of various societies and labor unions, was exceedingly picturesque. The feature was 130 Park City service men in khaki. Following "the parade, children's races were held on Main street, and from 12:30 to 2:30 p. m. a bandqnet was given to the returned heroes at the I. O. O. F. hall, where a program of music and addresses was rendered. The remainder of the afternoon was given over to sports, including a baseball game. At 6 o'clock In the evening supper was served by the "War Mothers for the fathers, fath-ers, mothers, wives and sisters of the service men, and at 7 o'clock there was a boxing match in the pavilion. The celebration closed with a dance at night in Rasband's hall. |
