Show 'Y' OFFICIAL DENIES DIVERSION OF FUND NEW YORK, March 12. Reports that the Young Men's Christian association proposed to divert war work funds to the erection of "permanent association buildings throughout the country were denied tonight by TVlIliam filoane, chairman chair-man of the national war work council. "At no time," said Mr. Sloan e, "has the Y. M. C. A. advocated or even suggested sug-gested that any money contributed for war welfare work be used to erect permanent per-manent buildings for the essoeiation or that it be used for any purpose other than that for which H was contributed, the welfare of men in the service." |
