Show IIEHS IK IHJEliS Subcommittee Concurs in Recommendations of President Hayes. INDIANAPOLIS, March 20. All recommendations recom-mendations for a six-hour day, five-day week, increase In wages and nationalization nationaliza-tion of coat mines, made by Frank J. i Jayes, president of the United Mine Workers of America, were concurred In by the subcommittee of the general policy committee, in its report to the full committee com-mittee this afternoon. The committee met here this afternoon to receive and act on the report. The subcommittee recommended that the full power and influence of the United Mine Workers be used to uttain the end of the six-hour day and live-day week. A not her recommendation of the sub-coin sub-coin nut tee was that the international oflicers of the union be empowered to draft for presentation to the special convention con-vention of the organization, when convened con-vened . a tentative draft of a bill- to be pieseuted to congress for the nationalization nationaliza-tion of all coal mines. The subcommittee also recommended that the international officials be authorized au-thorized to waije an extensive and intensive inten-sive campaign of organization iu the anthracite an-thracite districts and the sparsely organized organ-ized and noniimon bituminous districts.
