Show $14,799,800 LOANED BY U. S. LAND BANKS I WASHINGTON, March 20. Loans to-I to-I taling approximately $14,799,800 were made to 420D farmers throughout the United States by tho federal land banks ! on long-time first mortgages in February, according to a monthly statement of the farm loan board given out today. ! The federal land bank of Omaha, Neb., I led in amount of loans closed, with 53,- 895,400. Other banks closed loans as follows fol-lows : Houston, Texas, $1,832,213; St. Paul, $1,506,600; Spokane, $,2ul,720; Wirhita, Ivan., $1,019,800; Berkeley, Cal., $471800. The total amount of loans closed since the establishment of the federal land I banks was $1 S3, 897,964, on March 1, distributed dis-tributed among 75.3S4 borrowers. Altogether, 197,734 hare applied for loans aggregating $471,455,362. |
