Show HERB HUNTER SAYS . HE'LL BE ALL RIGHT Outfielder Ilerbie Hunter has sent his signed contract to Manager Charley Graham Gra-ham of the San Francisco ball club, says the San Francisco Examiner. Hunter is still in the hospital at San Pedro, but writes that his injured leg will be taken out of the plaster cast in about ten days, and that he is confident it will be as good as ever. Graham has signed Outfielder Connolly, who was in the Northwestern league last i season, and Outfielder Oliver, who played with the Seals in a number of games last season. He Is still on the trail of Catcher Rowdy Elliott, but as he has several weeks in which to get a satisfactory satis-factory backstop he is not rushing the Elliott deal. s": "Steamboat" Flanagan, slugging batsman bats-man of the Mare Island Sailors, has signed a contract with the Seals and is to report late this week at San Jose. He will try for a position behind the bat or in the outfield. With the Sailors, Flanagan was second baseman and change catcher. He Is tho biggest man on the Seal roster. He in an ice wagon on the bases, but, oh, hoy! how he can hit. In the Coast league he should be a regular fence buster. Flanagan for merly played with tho St. Louis Cardinals. |
