Show FORMER MINING MAN IS DEAD AT OGDEN Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, March 4. While bending over a kitchen stove starting a fire in his little frame house 1 in the rear of the Lashus Livery .stable in Ogden, Joseph L. Orr, 70 years old, nnd believed to have been a wealthy mine owner at one time, died in abject poverty early today. Death Is believed to have been due to heart trouble. Tlie body wus found by a friend, who notified the police. Little was known of Orr in Ogden. Among his effects were several letters which probably will lead to the location of relatives.- 'One letter, let-ter, from Mrs. M. B. U lover, Lead, S. D., spoke in familiar terms of Die family and told of tlie recent purchase of a new automobile. automo-bile. Another letter indicated that Orr sold several mining properties, one for $175,000. Other letters showed the man had been employed em-ployed at one time by the Union Pacific railroad rail-road as a loeotnot ive engineer. The body was removed lo the Larkin mortuary, mortu-ary, where it will be held pending the location vot relatives. , |
